1995 - Present  - FORENSIC CONSULTANT: AUTOMOTIVE TIRES, FIRES AND BRAKES EXPERT, STANDARD OF CARE FOR AUTOMOTIVE TIRE/BRAKE/REPAIR BUSINESS

Investigation of vehicle systems failures (tires, brakes, suspension and fuel); Vehicle Fire Origin and Cause; Vehicle Theft; Standards of Care; Conducted over 2500 investigations consisting of Field Inspection, Photography and Report Writing, Depositions, Arbitration and Superior Court Testimony.  Instructed multiple classes in Fires/Tires/Vehicle Theft.

1993 -1995           Private Investor/Consultant

1987 -1993 - OWNED AND OPERATED K&S TIRE AND WHEEL

Independent wholesale/retail automotive repair store.  Official Uniroyal, Goodyear, BF Goodrich, Yokohama, Hoosier Tire Dealer.  Sold, repaired, and adjusted thousands of all makes of tires on all makes of cars and light trucks.  Received over 200 failed tires to return to manufacturers for possible warranty replacement.  Replaced brakes, suspension components and did alignments.  Became intimately familiar with Manufacturer Tire Guides,         Fitment Guides, authorized substitutions.  Analyzed failures to determine if manufacturer defect, road hazard or misuse.  Sold Business 1993.

1977 - present - SCCA ROAD RACE TEAM OWNER AND DRIVER

Road race team owner and driver.  Owned, Prepared and Raced 17 different race cars at hundreds of races on dozens of race tracks throughout the US.  Since 1983, concentrated on Showroom Stock Classes (basically stock sedans) using DOT approved street tires on high speed race courses such as Willow Springs, Button Willow, Riverside, Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Mid Ohio and Road Atlanta.  Won over 146 races and set 44 track records.  Has extensive tire wear and failure experience with Goodyear, Yokohama, BF Goodrich, Hoosier and Kumho Tires.  Tested various manufacturer brake and suspension components, often to failure.  Personally replaced nearly every removable part on numerous cars just before (or after) failure.

1963 - 1985 - UNITED STATES NAVY - RETIRED AS A COMMANDER

United States Navy (retired as Commander). Commissioned in US Navy 1963.  Held increasingly more responsible positions including Instructor, US Naval Academy; Supply Officer, US Naval Advisory Group, Saigon, Vietnam; Legal Officer, USS Niagara Falls (AFS3); Commanding Officer, Plant Rep Office, McDonnell Douglas; Director of Quality Assurance, Defense Industrial Supply Center.  Received and gave training in probability and failure analysis. Analyzed failures on all types of hardware.
